The STRATA-G™ BLV PCR Precision DNA Standards uses precise DNA controls with a known copy number, quantified by digital droplet PCR, to generate target thresholds for Cycle threshold (Ct) determination, and to generate a standard curve for calculating target copy numbers and proviral load. Quantitative PCR machines should be calibrated with this kit before use of the AntelBio® STRATA-G™ BLV PCR Kit.

The AntelBio® A2 SNP Assay is intended for use in the rapid genotyping of the beta-casein allele extracted from whole blood, tissue, or milk. The A2 SNP Assay can be used to identify A1/A1, A1/A2, or A2/A2 genotype in cattle. This assay is a multiplex, real-time qPCR where the A1 and A2 beta-casein alleles are detected using fluorescent TaqMan® probes. The kit contains:

The AntelBio STRATA-G™ Johne’s PCR Kit (STRATA-G™ Johne’s PCR Kit) is intended for use in the rapid detection and quantification of Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) extracted from feces or milk from cattle. The STRATA-G™ Johne’s PCR Kit can be used to identify uninfected or infected cattle. This assay is a multiplex, real-time qPCR where MAP DNA (pathogen target) and Spike control DNA (exogenous target) are amplified and detected using fluorescent TaqMan® probes. The kit contains:

• 2X InhibiTaq™ MasterMix: an inhibitor-resistant qPCR master mix optimized for real time multiplex PCR applications.

The STRATA-G™ Bovine Leukemia Virus PCR Kit (STRATA-G™ BLV PCR Kit) is intended for use in the rapid detection and quantification of bovine leukemia virus (BLV) proviral load extracted from whole blood obtained from cattle. The STRATA-G™ BLV PCR Kit can be used to identify and differentiate between undetectable or low, moderate, and high proviral load (PVL) cattle. High proviral load (HPVL) cattle have an increased risk of transmitting BLV to their herdmates, and therefore rapid identification and stratification of BLV PVL within cattle is critical for effective management of BLV within dairy herds.

This assay is a multiplex, real-time qPCR where BLV proviral DNA (viral target), bovine Beta-Actin DNA (endogenous target), and Spike control DNA (exogenous target; control) are amplified and detected using fluorescent TaqMan® probes. The kit contains:

• 2X InhibiTaq™ MasterMix: an inhibitor-resistant qPCR master mix optimized for real-time multiplex PCR applications.
• Reference Dye: 25 µM ROX dye for real-time thermocyclers requiring an internal fluorescent reference dye for quantification.
• STRATA-G™ BLV PCR Target Mix: 20x Primer Probe Mix optimized for multiplex real-time qPCR amplification of all three targets.
• PCR Positive Control: a nucleic acid sample containing the BLV and bovine Beta-Actin targets.

Before using this kit, calibrate your real-time PCR machine using the STRATA-G™ BLV PCR Precision DNA Standards kit. This step is necessary to set establish accurate thresholds for Ct determination and standard curve generation for copy number and proviral load calculations.
