The STRATA\-G™ Bovine Leukemia Virus PCR Kit \(STRATA\-G™ BLV PCR Kit\) is intended for use in the rapid detection and quantification of bovine leukemia virus \(BLV\) proviral load extracted from whole blood obtained from cattle\. The STRATA\-G™ BLV PCR Kit can be used to identify and differentiate between undetectable or low, moderate, and high proviral load \(PVL\) cattle\. High proviral load \(HPVL\) cattle have an increased risk of transmitting BLV to their herdmates, and therefore rapid identification and stratification of BLV PVL within cattle is critical for effective management of BLV within dairy herds\.
